Michael Paterson has been named Chief Risk & Resilience Officer at PwC Canada, an accounting and consulting firm.

In his new role, Paterson will oversee and manage all areas of business and operational risk across the firm. According to PwC, Paterson will have oversight of departments including Risk Management/Regulatory, the Chief Legal Counsel, Security, Privacy, Ethics, Independence and Internal Audit. He will be responsible for driving PwC's regulatory compliance and oversee relationships with all regulatory bodies. 

Paterson possesses a breadth of knowledge and experience from his previous role as National Assurance Leader at PwC Canada. He brings more than 25 years of experience to the role and offers a unique and valuable perspective on financial and non-financial business issues.
