Oakland International Airport installed identity technology and touchless security lanes from CLEAR to give travelers a frictionless travel experience across the U.S. The technology is found at 38 U.S. airports and with 100+ partners across sports, entertainment, work, and travel.

The technology uses eyes for biometric identify confirmation. With CLEAR’s launch in OAK and ongoing presence at San Francisco International Airport and San Jose International Airport, CLEAR now operates in the three busiest airports in the Bay Area, all of which typically serve millions of passengers a year. 

The CLEAR technology provides travelers with a touchless travel experience, minimizing unnecessary passenger and airport personnel interaction by eliminating the need to hand travel documents to agents during the security screening process.

CLEAR is an opt-in membership service and is U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) certified.
