Scott Ashworth, a 2023 award recipient of Security magazine's Most Influential People in Security, has joined Google's global security team. Ashworth's work will focus on global security and resilience. 

Ashworth has over a decade of security experience that includes law enforcement, digital forensics and threat management. In his final years at the Forest Park Police Department (FPPD), Ashworth worked as Lieutenant, utilizing new technology and digital forensics for investigations. 

Following his time spent at FPPD, Ashworth transitioned to the private sector as Director of Security for Atlanta United. Ashworth worked most recently as Head of Safety and Security at Overtime Elite.
