With nearly 30 years of progressive experience in contract security management, Christina Duffey is a recognized leader in the security industry worldwide. She is currently the 2019 President of ASIS International as well as Senior Vice President and Regional Director for SOS Security. Duffey is Board Certified in Security Management as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP).

She graduated from DePaul University with a degree in Commerce. She makes significant contributions to the security industry through volunteer leadership, guest speaking and mentoring the new generation of security professionals.

Duffy was named the 2018 Security Executive of the Year by the Illinois Security Professionals’ Association and is a past receipt of the Ron Minion Security Pioneer Award, conferred annually by ASIS Canada. Duffy was also named to the 2019 IFSEC Global “Top Influencers in Security & Fire” in the Security Thought Leaders category.

“I am proud to be an ambassador and advocate for our industry and my generation of security professionals,” Duffy says. “I have never dismissed where I came from in this industry. As a security officer, those experiences have helped to shape and prepare me for the roles I have boldly stepped into. I continuously strive to be empathetic and to bravely endure the discomfort as our industry transforms.”

Her career advice is to “Have a heart for service…this is crucial to fostering and nurturing healthy relationships with your peers and your clients. What you give comes back to you in the end. Value compassion, connectivity and life-long learning and take risks with your career, but not with your health.”
