This week, hundreds of attendees hit the streets for the annual Security 5K/2K run/walk to benefit Mission 500, an organization that supports children and communities in crisis through WorldVision. This year’s event saw more than 700 signups and raised $90,000 to support the cause.

While the run/walk is the headline fundraiser for Mission 500 at ISC West, a number of other events support the organization as well. Altronix is donating $2 to Mission 500 for every attendee who registers at its booth (No. 23057) for the duration of the show, and COPS Monitoring made a donation for every attendee to the company’s Wednesday night gathering at Gilley’s at TI, and more. As of Thursday morning, the industry had raised a total of $110,000 from the run/walk and other events, which ISC West’s Ed Several presented to Mission 500’s George Fletcher at Thursday morning’s grand opening ceremony.
