White House announces climate resilience plans

The White House has announced additional climate resilience planning in response to the increase in severe weather. Areas of the U.S. have been hit with hurricanes, wildfires and other natural disasters.
The U.S. has already implemented additional measures for smoke risks from recent wildfires and made preparations for summer storms.
Recent actions include expanding the wildland firefighter workforce, removing hazardous fuels from millions of acres of forest and bringing online new technology to better locate and respond to fires.
The administration is advancing data, information, tools and technical assistance to help people understand and address their climate risks.
