Philadelphia healthcare facility suffers ransomware attack

Philadelphia healthcare facility Vincera has issued a notice following a ransomware attack in April of 2023. This attack has the potential to compromise patient data, including personal and medical information.
The potentially compromised data may include the following types of information: Full name, contact details (address, phone number, email address), Social Security number, date of birth, medical history and treatment records, insurance information, or any other information patients may have provided to the Vincera Institute.
Patients who may have been affected by this incident are advised to take the following steps:
Review accounts: It is recommended that you carefully review financial accounts, credit reports and insurance statements for any suspicious activity or unauthorized transactions.
Be vigilant: Remain vigilant against potential phishing attempts, fraudulent emails or phone calls that may attempt to deceive patients into disclosing personal or financial information. Always verify the legitimacy of any requests before providing sensitive information.
