Kurt John named Chief Security Officer at Expedia

Former Siemens security leader Kurt John has been named Chief Security Officer (CSO) at Expedia Group (Expedia).
In his new role, John is responsible for cybersecurity, data privacy and physical security across the organization, according to a statement on LinkedIn.
John previously held the Chief Cybersecurity Officer role at Siemens USA, where he led information security efforts for the U.S. branch of the company and served as an advisor for global cyber operations. Prior to that, he held the Global Cybersecurity Assurance Senior Manager role at Siemens.
John serves on numerous boards as a security decision-maker and was named one of Security magazine's Most Influential People in Security in 2020.
