Armed with a knife, a man attempted to force his way into Buckingham Palace today through the North Gate, the main everyday entrance to the palace to the right of the ornate central gates, according to The Daily Beast.

Police report they arrested the man following the incident, on suspicion of trespassing on a protected site and possession of an offensive weapon. He is currently in custody, and no one was hurt in the attempted entry.
