Networking Opportunities Abound at ASIS 2011
From the informal to the formal, security professionals will find opportunities for networking aplenty at ASIS 2011—set for September 19-22 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL. The colocation of the first (ISC)2 Security Congress and the addition of a new education track for security systems integrators add new dimensions to the Annual Seminar and Exhibits and broadens the scope and value of networking opportunities.
The week’s special events kick-off with the popular ASIS Foundation Golf Tournament on Sunday, September 18 and close with a luncheon on Thursday, September 22 where gifted engineer, entrepreneur, and adventurer Burt Rutan’s enthusiastic vision is sure to inspire.
Several casual networking receptions, including those for first-time Seminar attendees, new members, young professionals, and general attendees, will be held on Sunday, September 18 at the convention center. hosted networking luncheons on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, September 19-21, set the stage for practitioners to connect face-to-face and exchange ideas with peers.
On Monday, September 19, ASIS will host the President’s Reception at Universal’s Islands of Adventure®. The entire theme park is reserved for this annual networking event. One of the biggest parties ASIS has ever thrown, this year’s attendees will enjoy food and beverages, non-stop entertainment, and unlimited access to incredible rides and attractions like The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man®, Jurassic Park River Adventure®, and the all-new The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™.
Active military and law enforcement professionals will be honored on Wednesday, September 21. With the presentation of a valid military or government photo ID, military and law enforcement professionals may obtain complimentary registration for this special day, which provides for admission to the keynote with Vicente Fox, education sessions, and exhibits.
The ASIS Foundation's Night at B.B. Kings will be held on Wednesday, September 21. This festive event benefits the ASIS Foundation and combines great Southern comfort food fused with flavors from around the globe, cold drinks, and energetic music.
