Security Guard Assaulted at Firework Show
A fight broke out at a country club in Wilmington, North Carolina, resulting in the injury of a security guard.
The Country Club of Landfall was hosting a firework show on July 3 when a physical altercation started, involving guests, members and staff. According to a statement procured by local news reporting, an internal investigation is underway. The investigation will cooperate with law enforcement agencies.
“The Country Club of Landfall and the Landfall Council of Associations are both deeply disturbed by the actions that occurred on July 3. We are committed to the safety of our staff and Members and do not condone what took place,” the statement reads.
The country club intends to pursue justice to the “fullest extent possible.” At this time, it is unknown how many individuals were involved or if anyone has been arrested.
