PowerSchool, a California-based education technology company, recently announced a data breach that occurred between December 19 and December 28, 2024.

PowerSchool became aware of a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorized exfiltration from PowerSchool Student Information System (SIS) environments through one of its customer support portals on or around December 28, 2024.

According to the company's data breach notice, the following personal and health information may have been stolen in the breach: names, addresses, birth dates, Social Security numbers, medical information and academic records.
