Product Spotlight on Covert Surveillance

Adding eye-level surveillance no longer means installing a full-sized dome camera in the middle of a well-decorated hallway. These small, covert surveillance solutions are meant for discrete installations that do not interrupt aesthetics.

Designed for discreet surveillance, this camera family provides a range of megapixel camera resolutions and a wide range of lens choices. The compact and flexible design of the camera means that it can be used inside ATMs, toll lanes or restaurant drive-thru applications as well. The camera sensor connects to the main camera unit over a standard USB cable up to 40 feet away, and only the main camera unit connects to the IP network, making it ideal for environments that do not allow network cables to extend outside the building.

These cameras feature audio detection, face detection with metadata, tamper detection, virtual line, enter/exit and (dis)appear detection. A 4.6mm pinhole lens on the SNB-6010B model and a 2.4mm pinhole lens on the SNB-6011B model (pictured here) provide a 71-degree or 134-degree horizontal viewing angle. The SNB-T-6010 model features a housing specifically designed for use on a desk or counter.

Smaller than the palm of a hand, this camera’s bullet-shaped sensor unit offers a 102-degree horizontal field of view. The base plate enables easy mounting on walls or ceilings, with the ability to tilt and rotate. Along with Axis’s pinhole sensor unit, these cameras can be used with main units that support video streaming from four sensors simultaneously.

Height Strip Camera Housing from Interface

This camera housing provides a discreet and cost-effective solution for loss prevention, inventory shrinkage and robbery. Two camera options – IP and analog – are available to offer crisp, clear resolution within a height strip that can be mounted on or beside the door frame. Both options can capture the full faces of people at eye level as they exit the area.
