ComNet Expands, Adds VP of Marketing

June 19, 2008

Communication Networks of Danbury, Conn., doing business as ComNet, has hired Frank (Skip) Haight to be the company’s vice president of marketing. Skip will be responsible for company’s marketing strategies and communications efforts to its target markets and audiences. Skip will report directly to George Lichtblau, ComNet’s chairman. Haight held the role of director of marketing at IFS and GE/IFS for the past 8 years before IFS was integrated into GE Security and has over 20 years of industrial marketing experience.

Skip Haight will be responsible for managing all the key marketing activities needed for success, starting with strategic positioning and including collateral, website, trade show and advertising and messaging for the rapidly expanding ComNet.

“ Skip did a great job for IFS and was a key contributor to their growth” stated Lichtblau. “We went through a period of rapid growth from the late 90s until I sold the company and part of the reason was our market awareness, I give Skip Haight a large amount of credit for making that happen,” added Lichtblau.

“I’m very happy and excited to be given this opportunity. When you have a great product and supportive company to promote, much of the difficulty in carving out a place in the market disappears,” said Skip Haight on his new role.

“In those early years in my IFS career, we were fortunate to have had a very high-quality, innovative product line, backed with an amazing level of support from some very talented people. I know that’s what George envisions as the future of ComNet”, continued Haight. ComNet has recently announced an extensive line of fiber optic video and data transmission equipment as well as a line of Ethernet Network equipment that is uniquely toughened to meet the needs of the Security and Intelligent Transportation System market.

Skip Haight has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications from Marshall University in West Virginia. Skip will be based in the ComNet Corporate offices in Danbury, CT. He can be contacted through that office at 203 796 5300 or via e-mail at fhaight@comnet.net.

ComNet is located in Danbury, CT in a state of the art manufacturing and production facility housing the key functions of engineering, production, shipping, sales, customer care, marketing and more.

For more information, please contact Skip Haight at 203.796.5340; or e-mail ComNet at marketing@comnet.net. You may also find ComNet on the World Wide Web at www.comnet.net. Electronic files of this release and photos of ComNet products are available by contacting the ComNet Marketing Department via e-mail at fhaight@comnet.com.
