The Security Industry Association (SIA) announced its Government Infrastructure Security End User Group (GISEUG) will hold its second Educational Forum exclusively for government security managers. Participants in the free program will learn the fundamentals of today’s access control systems and the technologies driving the systems of tomorrow.
The half-day forum takes place 7:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., August 30, 2007, at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, DC. “Our members look to SIA to provide timely, relevant information on new market opportunities,” said Richard Chace, executive director and CEO, The Security Industry Association. “This group gives us first-hand information on the challenges facing government security managers and helps our members better understand how they can create products and services that address their specific security needs.”
 
Session topics include: § Access Control: Knowledge is Security. Learn the basics of access control systems as well as current and end-state technologies. § Industry Innovation. Gain a greater understanding of the trends driving product innovation. § Technologies of Tomorrow. Increase your understanding of the advanced solutions pushing the security industry to "next generation" systems. This free forum is for federal, state, and local government employees only. The GISEUG is not open to contractors and vendors. Created by SIA, the GISEUG is a vendor-neutral educational forum where government security managers learn about emerging trends, share best practices, and identify security needs.
