The AXIS P1448-LE Network Camera provides cost-effective 24/7 surveillance indoors or outdoors.

The true day/night indoor/outdoor dome camera includes a motorized remote focus/zoom P-Iris lens, as well as features such as privacy mask, motion detection, flexible cropping, multi-streaming and more.

For retail and hospitality applications, where cameras are often ceiling or in-ceiling mounted, these turrets offer aesthetics similar to dome models but easier access for positioning and maintenance.

The Met’s system produced 104 alerts, of which only two were later confirmed to be positive matches. The force says it does not consider the inaccurate matches “false positives” because alerts were checked a second time after they occurred.

Surveillance cameras are being installed within NJ Transit regional trains in order to monitor security and behavior. Currently cameras are only being installed in trains that NJ Transit runs under contract for Metro-North, but an agency spokesperson said that cameras will be added to other lines as funding becomes available.

As footage has been released of contractors and workers severely abusing animals, such as the instances at a major food company in the U.S. and 12 U.K. slaughterhouses, the campaign has become stronger from activists around the world demanding independently monitored video cameras inside these facilities.

Chicago lawmakers are attempting to amend the Freedom from Drone Surveillance Act to permit law enforcement to fly surveillance drones over “large scale events” in Chicago. The bill references festivals and concerts, but ACLU Illinois says the amendment could empower police to fly drones over political protests and rallies.
