Georgia State University (GSU) is updating security measures. GSU's campus is spread throughout the city of Atlanta, meaning there's a large area for campus security leaders to cover. 

GSU will be implementing Knightscope K1 emergency towers throughout the campus. The towers will provide ways for students, staff and faculty to call for help in the event of an emergency. The school is replacing old towers and adding an additional 50 at various locations.

In an emergency, it's important that members of the campus community have a way to call for help. For a campus as large as GSU (approximately 100 acres), it's important that security leaders and public safety officials know exactly where a caller is located.
