Security leaders are constantly working to improve employee safety. Recently, mattress company Purple Innovation has updated its security measures. The company will be utilizing Evolv Technology weapons detection at its factories to protect its employees. 

The technology uses artificial intelligence (AI) to detect threats during the company's busy shift changes when large numbers of people are entering and leaving the building over a short period of time.

The technology aims to help reduce the need for individual security screens as employees move throughout the facility. In addition to open floor plan warehouses, similar technology has been used in hospitals, schools and sports venues.
