Chris Hatter has been named Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at ShiftLeft, a DevSecOps company. 

Hatter comes to ShiftLeft as its first CISO. He will be responsible for the organization's security program, influence the go-to-market strategy and will serve as a customer advocate in ShiftLeft’s product roadmap.

Prior to joining ShiftLeft, Hatter spent more than five years as Nielsen’s CISO. He had the unique responsibility of greenfielding a modern, cloud-first security program for Nielsen’s global businesses. 

Hatter focused on strategic planning, aligning security objectives with business objectives, scaling product security by empowering engineering teams and implementing cyber capabilities that support Nielsen’s digital and cloud transformations.
