Patricia "Patti" McSteen, former Interim Associate Vice President and Dean of Students at Ohio University, will join New York University (NYU) as Senior Associate Vice President and Deputy of Global Campus Safety.

McSteen will liaise with other administrators, foster and develop relationships with other campus departments and NYU schools, and assist in the daily management of the NYU campus safety office.

She brings extensive experience in support services for survivors of sexual assault to her new position, as well as in coordinating with university counseling services and behavioral intervention, having founded the Ohio University behavioral intervention team while in her previous role.
