RFID locks and mobile access technology add security at Sunridge Hotel Group hotels
The recently opened Residence Inn by Marriott La Quinta, California, and Residence Inn by Marriott Phoenix West/Avondale have adopted VingCard Signature radio frequency identification (RFID) locks equipped with Mobile Access technology and are supported by the Visionline access management system.
The hotels, operated by Sunridge Hotel Group, are secured with access control technology provided by ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions. VingCard Signature RFID locks are a door lock system equipped with security encryption technology to prevent risks associated with unauthorized entry such as keycard cloning.
This solution also provides the ability to adopt contactless digital key capabilities which are made readily available to hotel guests via the Marriott BonVoy app. Guests staying at either property can check in on their personal devices and avoid the risk of unnecessary contact at the front desk. Once guests check in via their personal device, they receive a digital key that allows them to instantly and safely access their room.
At both hotels, the implementation of Visionline technology also provides staff members with the ability to maintain secure operations. For example, hotel staff can receive real-time alerts for any potential security threats requiring immediate attention. This includes alerts for a wandering intruder attempting to gain access on multiple doors using a stolen keycard or for a door that has been left ajar.
