The University of Central Florida (UCF) has promoted former Deputy Chief of Police David Zambri to Associate Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). 

Zambri will help maintain and upgrade UCF's cyber defense systems to protect the campus community from cybercrime. He named his top priority as building a network of communication and support between the university and the Department of Defense, Homeland Security and local law enforcement partners.

Zambri's 28 years of law enforcement experience includes various roles at UCF and admission to the FBI National Academy.
