Masks will now be required indoors at Bank of America stadium. The Carolina Panthers made the announcement after the Mecklenburg County Health Department recommended issuing another mask mandate in light of the Delta Variant of the coronavirus. A statewide mask mandate in North Carolina ended last month.

In a statement, the team said face coverings will not be required outdoors at the stadium. Guests and staff must wear masks in indoor spaces, including the concourses on the 300 and 400 levels. The team store and elevators are also considered indoor areas.

Extra masks will be available at stadium entrance points, guest relations and security booths. In addition to the mask mandate, other security and safety protocols that the team already implemented will remain in place, including cashless transactions, mobile ticketing, enhanced cleaning procedures and hand sanitizer stations throughout the stadium. There are no vaccination requirements for entering the stadium.
