Facebook Names Alex Stamos as CSO

Alex Stamos has been named CSO at Facebook.

Stamos was previously with Yahoo, where he pushed Yahoo to expand privacy protections for users following leaks from former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden, reported the Wall Street Journal.

Stamos replaces Joseph Sullivan, who recently left for the same post at ride-sharing app Uber.
