Almeda Dunn has advanced to the presidency of the National Council on Investigative and Security Services. In assuming this role, Dunn became the first woman and first African American to serve as president of the NCISS. She brings nearly 30 years of experience in law enforcement and the private security industry to the position, having spent the last 23 years working in and consulting to corporations on security management. Currently, Dunn is the third-generation CEO of Star Detective and Security Agency Inc., which was founded in 1923 and remains Chicago’s oldest family operated, licensed detective agency.
