Diebold And CUNA Offer Physical Security

CUNA Strategic Services Inc., North Canton, Ohio, and Diebold Inc. have entered into an exclusive agreement to jointly market a comprehensive security software program to credit unions called RiskWatch for Financial Institutions. The risk assessment tool was designed specifically so credit unions can better safeguard consumers’ personal financial information.

CUNA also finalized an agreement to market Diebold’s physical security products to credit unions. Those products include security vestibules, safes, modular vaults and vault doors, safe deposit boxes, lockers, After-Hour depositories, bullet-resistive barriers, drive-up windows and drawers, under counter cabinets, remote transaction products, and other branch products. ASIS Agriculture Councils to Merge

ASIS Intl., Alexandria, Va., has announced the merger of the Agriculture Ad Hoc Council and the Food Service Security Ad Hoc Council, to form the Agriculture and Food Security Ad Hoc Council. The objective of the newly formed council is to promote cooperation within the food industry and all segments of the supply chain. The merger of the two existing councils mirrors the unprecedented partnership forged between the Departments of Homeland Security, Agriculture and Health and Human Services to focus on key components of our nation’s agriculture and food chain, ensuring appropriate representation of all aspects of the nation’s agriculture and food systems.

DMP Receives SIA CP-01 UL Classification

Digital Monitoring Products, Springfield, Mo., has received a UL approved classification for ANSI/SIA CP-01-2000 False Alarm Reduction. The following products are included with the UL approval:

According to the Security Industry Alarm (SIA), CP-01-2000 details design features for security system control panels to reduce false alarms in residential and commercial applications. It covers event recognition and information handling sequences and provisions for system layout testing. CP-01-2000 strengthens user interface features to increase prevention and recovery from user-caused false alarms. The XR500 Series panels began shipping with the UL CP-01 approval mark in August.

The Name Has Been Changed to Continue the Commitment

Honeywell, Syosset, N.Y., announced that its NexWatch brand (a part of Honeywell Access Systems) will now be called Honeywell Integrated Security. The name change is a result of consumer research that indicated customers’ and integrators’ strong preference to be associated with the globally recognized Honeywell brand. The NexWatch Dealer Network will now be called Honeywell Authorized Security Integrators. Honeywell Integrated Security will continue with Pro-Watch.
