Uber Freight Investigates Data Security Concern

Uber Freight is investigating a data security incident following a hacker’s breach claims, according to reports from Reuter. The hacking group calls itself Helix and claims to have stolen approximately 1 million files from the organization, posting the data on its website. The company states it is investigating unauthorized access to parts of its systems and repositories.
At this time, it is unclear if the published data is authentic. The organization has also not shared when it was informed of the breach or if company spokespeople have interacted with the hacking group.
According to the Google Threat Intelligence Group (GTIG), Helix is one of several threat actors associated with other recent incidents, including reported incidents against Blackstone, Apollo Global Management, and other entities.
