2.6M Accounts Exposed in DentaQuest Data Breach

Dental benefits provider DentaQuest experienced a data breach that came to light last month. The threat actor group ShinyHunters claimed to be responsible for the attack, asserting they had stolen more than 234 GB of data. After the company and the threat actors failed to reach an agreement, the actors released the sensitive data, exposing 2.6 million accounts.
According to data breach alert site Have I Been Pwned, the following information was compromised:
- Full names
- Phone numbers
- Email addresses
- Birth dates
- Genders
- Physical addresses
- Government issued IDs
- Health insurance information
