Federal officials announced the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) acting director, Todd Lyons, is set to resign at the end of May.
Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin revealed Lyons' impending resignation, stating, “We wish him luck on his next opportunity in the private sector.”
A reason behind the resignation was not given. His departure coincides with new DHS leadership after former Secretary Kristi Noem was fired by President Trump.
At this time, it is unclear who will replace Lyons.
