39% of law enforcement agencies unable to timely solve investigations

A recent report by Cognyte analyzed the results of a survey of law enforcement security threats. The report found that 79% of law enforcement agencies (LEAs) struggle to unlock the insights they need.
Twenty-seven percent of LEAs are faced with growing ties between criminal networks and terror groups, and 39% of LEAs are unable to resolve their investigations in a reasonable timeframe
Nearly half of LEAs put predictive analytics and GenAI-powered data exploration and analysis at the top of the list of most impactful technologies for 2025. According to the report, 46% of LEAs report challenges with both gathering data for court-admissible evidence as well as then analyzing it to generate intelligence and insights. Thirty-three percent of LEAs indicate that analyzing the data is the most challenging part of the process.
