GVI Security: Full Samsung End-to-End IP Video Security Surveillance at ASIS

September 16, 2008

GVI Security Solutions, Inc. introduced a full Samsung Electronics branded end-to-end IP video security surveillance solution at ASIS International 2008 in Atlanta, Georgia.

GVI is introducing the exciting new Samsung Electronics NET-i(TM) I IP Video Security Solution that ties together all of the company's IP product ranges including cameras, software, encoder, DVRs and LCD monitors to deliver a full end-to-end branded Samsung Electronics IP video security solution. GVI is also introducing new Samsung High Resolution 3 Mega Pixel IP, anti-vandal Dome IP and WDR IP cameras, a new dual-codec IP video encoder and a new line of Samsung Electronics high resolution LCD monitors that bring Samsung's highly regarded LCD technology, that has been garnering so much praise in the video press, to the professional video surveillance market.

"ASIS is our opportunity to highlight our new product introductions for the end user community," said Joseph Restivo, GVI Security Solutions Chief Operating Officer/CFO. "As the industry moves more and more towards IP, the opportunity to introduce an effective easy to install and use Samsung Electronics IP solution to so many customers in one location is very exciting. We're also strengthening our analog offerings with new very high resolution Samsung Electronics cameras and exceptional new Samsung LCD monitors capable of displaying the new higher resolution images."

GVI recently announced the signing of a strategic marketing agreement with Verint. The impact of that agreement is already being seen in new Samsung IP camera models which will optionally make available Verint's field proven VSIP protocol for camera control. This move is consistent with GVI and Samsung's strong commitment to open protocols and third party integration. Samsung IP camera users will be able to select from a wide variety of leading VSIP compliant VMS developers including Verint's Nextiva IP video management software, providing the broadest, multiplatform compliant market possible for Samsung's IP camera offerings.
