Jeffrey Aguilar has been named the new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the County of Los Angeles (L.A. County).

Aguilar previously held Deputy and Acting CISO roles over his four years at L.A. County. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor and Advisory Board Member on the Cyber Risk Professional Advisory Board at Pepperdine University's Graziadio Business School, as well as on the boards of SecureTheVillage and the Los Angeles Cyber Lab, among others.

Aguilar has served in senior cybersecurity positions throughout his career and holds multiple security certifications, including Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) and others.
