A U.K.-based private security firm, Westminster Security Ltd., has begun accepting Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency payments from its users.
The London private security organization detailed the benefits of cryptocurrency payments in an announcement about the new payment method, noting the anonymity of cryptocurrency transactions as advantageous to security-minded groups and individuals.
Cryptocurrency payments have been criticized in the past for the currency's use on the dark web. However, there are multiple current legitimate uses of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. This digital payment form can provide anonymous transaction capabilities to organizations looking to further secure their data.
