Michael Gregg has been named the new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of the State of North Dakota. Prior to his appointment, Gregg had acted as interim CISO and previously held the role of Director of Cyber Operations for the state.

Gregg detailed his priorities as CISO, saying, “First, we will be focused on the basics — end point protection, vulnerability management, third party risk management and user awareness training. We will further protect what matters most for the state and be better prepared to react properly to pertinent threats.”

He brings more than two decades of experience in information security and risk management. In addition to performing security management, audits and assessments, Michael has authored or coauthored more than 25 books, testified before the U.S. Congress and published articles on various IT websites.

Congratulations!
