A suburb of Mobile County Alabama, Prichard has installed about one dozen video surveillance cameras to fight crime and help police with investigations. 

Cameras have been placed in neighborhoods, busy intersections and in areas where illegal activity commonly occurs and city police as well as the Mayor's office have access to the cameras 24/7. The cameras can also record license plates.

According to the 2010 Census, Prichard's population was 22,659.
