Police Detective Jason Bender was hired as Director of Security for the Solon City Schools in Ohio. Bender spent 27-years with the Solon Police Department.

Bender was approved for the position by the Solon Board of Education and the appointment will take effect January 4 for a period of 2.5 years. 

Bender will replace Jeff Pedicino, who is retiring as the district’s Director of Security on January 31 after six years.
