The City of Warren and Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership installed security cameras at Quinby Park in Ohio with local grant money. The cameras were made possible by grant funding from the Raymond John Wean Foundation and the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley.

The effort builds upon previous improvements at Quinby Park made by the city over the last two years, including playground equipment. The installation of the new cameras comes after a man was shot and killed at the park in June 2020 and equipment was stolen from a park building earlier in the spring.

Earlier in the year, the neighborhood partnership had released its Warren City Parks action plan, detailing recommendations from residents to improve the city’s parks system.
