This module is the smallest form factor Ethernet over coax media converter available, and it converts legacy analog security video systems to network surveillance by enabling IP cameras to connect directly to coaxial cables. The modules can take power directly from the camera or switch, which eliminates the need for additional cabling or power supplies, reduces installation time and increases system reliability. It requires very little rack space and consumes very little power, reducing the total cost of ownership.
