Henley-Putnam University, the leading educator in the field of strategic security, and ASIS International have announced a strategic partnership.

The two organizations also unveiled one of the first results of this partnership, a scholarship for ASIS members who pursue a degree in Strategic Security at Henley-Putnam University.

The ASIS Member Scholarship will be available to all ASIS members of good standing who enroll in a Henley-Putnam degree program.  The $2,500 scholarship will be applied as a pro rata credit towards tuition.

“ASIS is dedicated to top-quality education that enables security practitioners to develop and employ innovative security strategies,” stated Mr. Michael Stack, Chief Executive Officer of ASIS International.  “Henley-Putnam University’s program leverages today’s industry leaders experience and expertise to prepare tomorrow’s top security professionals.”

Mr. Stack is also one of the industry leaders recently tapped by Dr. Linda Florence, a Dean at Henley-Putnam University, to bring an unparalleled breadth of talent and depth of experience to the University by serving on the Board of Advisors for the Strategic Security & Protection Management program.

“These respected individuals are today’s security industry leaders,” stated Dr. Florence.   “They’re in the very best position to know what skills and knowledge our students will need as they advance their careers.  Our plan is to shape Henley-Putnam students into world-class experts in strategic security and protection management who will serve as tomorrow’s industry leaders.”

“Henley-Putnam faculty are expert professionals who’ve done this work themselves and can share valuable, practical knowledge”, said Ray O’Hara, CPP; Executive VP, Andrews International and 2011 President, ASIS International.
