The United States Department of Homeland Security issued Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) grants over the past few years in an effort to enhance the security posture of major U.S. cities.

 

The grants seek to protect the public by creating an interoperable network of technology, designed to increase situational awareness and combat terrorism and criminal activity. Including Behavioral Analytics based video surveillance software into these security technology networks adds a component to help identify suspicious behavior taking place under the observation of a security video system.
