Puopolo Smallgoods is a meat-processing factory in Victoria, Australia. The purpose of an analog surveillance system was to record the production process, prevent accidents and strengthen security. When Puopolo Smallgoods recently expanded with the addition of a new building, the company decided to add megapixel IP cameras. In addition, through the installation of the new system, the company can integrate the existing 13 analog cameras with the eight new IP cameras via a 1GB link. The existing analog system can also be easily integrated into the complete IP surveillance solution.

Implementing the IP surveillance solution has provided Puopolo Smallgoods the ability to add more IP cameras throughout the complex as required. In terms of management, Milestone’s XProtect software plays an important role in this project. Due to the software’s scalability and performance, management now has full access to cameras in both the old and new manufacturing buildings from any PC on the network.
