Partnership ‘PaYS’ Off for Wackenhut

The Wackenhut Corporation, Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., has teamed with the U.S. Army’s Partnership for Youth Success (PaYS) program. The program is intended to increase the Army’s ability to recruit and provide employers like Wackenhut a workforce of employees who have developed professional work habits and have been held to the highest standards. While in the Army, the recruits are professionally trained for and gain experience in a suite of job skills specific to their future career.

Under this recruiting initiative, the U.S. Army identifies first term soldiers of the Regular Army and Army Reserves who wish to pursue careers in private security after serving in the Army and notify participant corporations of their names. The companies, in turn, provide periodic information on the private security industry throughout their three to six years of initial active duty, and give the recruits priority consideration for hiring upon completion of their military service.
