Telephoto Near Infrared Lens for Day/Nights
May 1, 2004
Tamron USA had added to the 10-40mm F/1.4 IR Aspherical Vari-Focal, to be released summer 2004. For two imager sizes: 1/3-inch and 1/2-inch. Tamron developed this new lens specifically to address the need for a telephoto range IR lens that is required as outdoor applications using IR illuminator systems become increasingly popular. This range is also particularly useful for indoor applications where close-up identification of people is necessary.
