The Investigator Model A from Grace Industries combines a hydrocarbon detector, an ultraviolet scanner and a bright flashlight – all housed in a rugged, aluminum, flashlight-like enclosure. The Investigator Model A operates with the simplicity of a flashlight, but can sense trace amounts of accelerants. An array of eight bright white LEDs will light up the scene, while 16 intense UV LEDs causes some hydrocarbons to fluoresce.
