Former Security Guard Knocks Out Opponent in Dana White’s Contender Series

A former UFC security guard knocked out an opponent on Dana White’s Contender Series.
Dana White’s Contender Series is a talent-discovery show for UFC hopefuls, in which non-contract fighters compete for a chance to win a contract. Dana White’s Contender Series 95 occurred on Tuesday and concluded with four fighters earning contracts.
Among those who won a contract was Sal Everett, who had previously worked as a UFC security guard. Everett knocked out opponent Ozzy Martin in a first-round knockout sequence. Both fighters had been 4-0 in professional mixed martial arts.
Sportsnet calls Everett’s victory proof that “he was well qualified for the job” as a security guard.
