A report by Kaseya reveals that cybersecurity is at the forefront of managed service providers’ minds, including IT professionals and executives. The report discovered that 78% of MSPs consider cybersecurity to be their greatest challenge. This is an increase from the previous year, in which 67% listed cybersecurity as their greatest challenge. This emphasizes the need for organizations to invest in innovative cybersecurity solutions and talent in order to secure against emerging threats. The importance of cybersecurity is evident to MSPs, as 73% state that it is one of their top revenue drivers.
The report also depicts cyberattack trends in regard to small and medium-sized businesses. The surveyed MSPs report that they have observed fewer cyberattacks against small and medium-sized businesses, which the report attributes to proper security measures taken by those businesses. Over half of the surveyed MSPs (64%) report that 10% or less of their small and medium-sized business customers faced a cyberattack within the year.
Cybersecurity is a prevalent concern for small and medium-sized businesses as well, as 46% of MSPs report that their customers request information on cybersecurity and best practices.
