Paul Merritt, co-founder of Fortress Consulting, LLC, an Atlanta-based consulting firm that provides businesses with workplace violence prevention and response training, will share critical information on workplace violence preparedness. As a 23-year police officer, including 13 years as a SWAT team member in the Atlanta metro area, Merritt has safely resolved a number of high risk situations.

Bruce Blythe, an internationally acclaimed crisis management expert, will speak about understanding the violent mind and offer components for implementing a comprehensive violence preparedness program.

Blythe is the owner and chairman of Crisis Management International, Inc., which provides employers with a continuum of crisis preparedness services. He is the author of Blindsided: A Manager's Guide to Crisis Leadership, as well as a certified clinical psychologist and a consultant to the FBI on workplace violence and terrorism.
