Air Force Maj. Gen. John W. Maluda, director, Cyberspace Transformation and Strategy, Secretary of the Air Force Office of Warfighting Integration and Chief Information Officer, will be the keynote speaker at the sixth annual Security Solutions conference to be held May 12 through 15 at the Tampa (Fla.) Marriott Waterside Hotel and Marina.

General Maluda’s keynote address will kick off a high-powered lineup of speakers and information-filled track sessions at Security Solutions 2009.  Following him will be Army Maj. Gen. Vincent E. Boles, assistant deputy chief of staff, G4, and Air Force Brig. Gen. David B. Warner, director, Communications and Information, and Chief Information Officer, Headquarters Air Force Space Command.

This year’s conference will again bring together top government, military and industry security professionals to share their latest and best practices, and exchange insights into leading solutions in information assurance, secure networks, secure messaging and identity management.

“General Maluda observes from a unique vantage point the transformation of cyberspace into an important warfighting domain,” said John B. Wood, chairman and CEO of Telos Corporation, which is hosting the conference. “His insight, along with the expertise of a stellar line-up of speakers, will make Security Solutions 2009 the one conference this year that security professionals in government and military simply cannot afford to miss.”

In his current role, General Maluda is responsible for establishing cyberspace as a domain in and through which Air Force flies and fights, to deliver sovereign options for defense of the United States and its global interests. Additionally, he shapes doctrine, strategy, and policy for communications and information activities and serves as the functional advocate for 30,000 personnel. The general's career highlights include serving at three major commands, with unified combatant commands, a defense agency, the White House and the Air Staff.
