Security leaders should recheck what type of insurance their alarm service has.
Brownyard Group tells Zalud’s Blog that it will offer an admitted market for its Alarm Services program, which provides coverage for fire and burglar alarm companies nationwide.
Arch Insurance Company, rated A (Excellent) by A.M. Best, will initially provide admitted markets for the Alarm Services program in 25 states, and is expected to serve as the admitted market in a majority of states by January 2009. Arch Insurance Company is part of the Arch Insurance Group, which has underwritten programs for Brownyard Group for the past six years.
“We’re pleased to offer our Alarm Services program on an admitted basis and make this important program available to more agents and brokers,” said Tory Brownyard, president of Brownyard Group. “This is one of just a few admitted Alarm Services programs in the country.”
Brownyard’s exclusive broker for the Alarm Services program is Tanty Risk Management Services (TRMS), which has provided dedicated underwriting expertise, risk management advice and contract negotiation for the burglar and fire alarm industry for over 35 years. In
Brownyard’s Alarm Services program provides General Liability coverage on alarm operations, CCTV and card key access and is able to accommodate incidental exposures such as lock & safe, intercom systems, central vacuum and portable fire extinguisher sales and service. The program uses a specialized form designed just for the Alarm Services industry, and has limits up to $5 million aggregate and $1 million occurrence.
