SDKs are Software Development Kits, programming packages that enable easier development of applications for a specific platform. Typically an SDK includes one or more API tools and documentation.

APIs, or Application Programming Interfaces, are the building blocks used in creating integration between two systems. These building blocks are provided by manufacturers to help customers gain new systematic advantages that may or may not be available in the main system. APIs are good for customers, as their availability allows many manufacturers to work together in a timely manner to produce new combinations of products for the market.
